IERG Member Spotlight: Shay Coker 

Shay Coker brings a unique international perspective to commercial real estate, shaped by 15 years as an entrepreneur and business owner in Brazil. In 2010, he joined the São Paulo office of JLL, where he advised multinational clients on the selection of warehouses and manufacturing sites across the country. His expertise later expanded to office and retail leasing—experience he carried with him to Miami in 2016, where he now focuses on helping companies navigate the dynamic South Florida market.

An active IERG member since 2017, Shay served four years on the Board of Directors and played a key role in building the Florida chapter. He hosted dozens of IERG gatherings from his 28th-floor downtown Miami office, helping to foster a strong local community of global executives.

Shay holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and an Economics degree from Texas Tech University, where he was a scholarship tennis player. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
