Despite a recent decline, ransomware is still a serious threat to the private and public sectors and, broadly, it’s increasing. It's a national security issue here in the US and abroad.
Come join the IERG CT chapter to hear Retired Supervisory Special Agent Peterson speak about her firsthand experience as the FBI's criminal cyber supervisor in San Francisco and the most common compromises and vulnerabilities she encountered while dealing with corporate victims of cybercrime.
She will also discuss the financial and political incentives driving cybercrime and detail how the public and private sectors can best work together to prevent and impact such crimes.
About the Speaker:
Prior to joining the FBI, SSA Peterson was a Russian cryptologic linguist with the U.S. Air Force. All IERG members and Invited Guests are welcome to attend the Connecticut Chapter Event, but all must register. |
