Texas Chapter ONLINE Event Thursday, November 7, 2024 Blue Growth: Leveraging Water Management for Business Attraction & Operation With Chris Cameron Together we will hear a brief exposition on the significance of water and water management in today’s business environment (including a Tie-In with Mexico) and learn how effective water management and wastewater treatment contribute to business attraction and sustainability. Chris Cameron is an executive leader with extensive global experience in business transformation using supply chain, logistics, services & software together. His expertise lies in leading high-performance teams to assess, design, and execute strategic changes with digitally integrated Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, data, and AI in value chain transformations. These combine to amplify value, revenues, and profitability for both companies he serves and their customers. Beginning in Atlanta as an international freight forwarder, Chris rode the globalization wave as forwarders became 3PL / BPO providers. During this industry transition, Chris was fortunate to join digital roles, as the need for data and digital processes increased within the order-to-cash & procure-to-pay cycles increased in importance. This experience led to varied experiences in software; From an entrepreneur transforming a small warehouse management software company, to a corporate role as worldwide sales leader developing IBM’s AI supply chain risk management toolset. Throughout his career Chris has worked as a change agent, both inside the organization, and outside as a strategic service provider. These projects, and more than 75 others, have been a part of Chris’s project leadership in more than 40 countries across APAC, INDIA, EMEA, NORAM, & LATAM. Chris’s most recent role as the BU executive for Rotoplas Group’s US investment in Tank-Depot took him into the world of water management. This is an ageing industry with a deteriorating infrastructure, competing interests, opaque regulations and regulators all impacting a basic human need and a critical business imput & output. Chris has an MBA from University of Texas at Dallas in Product Lifecycle and Supply Chain Management. He earned an MBA with a concentration in supply chain management from Arizona State University and began his career with Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, Arizona. Over the years, he has held leadership roles with industry-leading companies such as Honeywell, HJ Heinz, Watts Water, and Assa Abloy, leading organizations in both China and the U.S. Alongside his expertise in supply chain optimization and disciplined supply base management, Lihong is a seasoned global leader with extensive experience navigating cultural barriers and building high-performing global teams.
Currently, Lihong is an independent supply chain consultant, residing in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and daughter. His past roles include VP of Operations, Division President, VP of Global Procurement & Quality, and Factory General Manager.
