We are very pleased to confirm that Dr. John A. Quelch has accepted our invitation to speak at our International Executive Resources Group (IERG) event on Monday, November 13. He will discuss, at our in-person meeting, "US/China Potential Outcomes.”

Dr. Quelch is an expert on China, its economy, political structure, culture, and global objectives.  Dr. Quelch will discuss the commercial and political outlook of China and the US, as a result of Janet Yellen’s, Secretary of Treasury, and Gina Raimondo’s, Secretary of Commerce, recent China visit, where they met with China’s most senior economic and treasury officials to work on defusing the relations between the two superpowers.

Our Florida Chapter meeting will be held at Fogo de Chao in Coral Gables.  The in-person event will be from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on November 13. Our Moderator will be Edmundo Llopis.

Due to the importance and popularity of our Speaker Dr. John Quelch, we are expecting a full house. Thus, we are starting registration as we can only accommodate forty-four members and special guests at Fogo de Chao. To guarantee entrance please register early.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Quelch has an impressive background and wide-ranging experience, currently the Leonard M Miller University Professor at the Miami Herbert Business School and Chairman of Globalpraxis, formerly he was a Vice Provost, University of Miami, Dean, Miami Herbert Business School. Previously he was Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School. Dr. Quelch was based two years in Shanghai, China as Dean & Vice President at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), where he increased revenues by over 25% to over $100 million. Formerly he was the Dean, London Business School and a Non-Executive Director at Aramark, Inc.

He is a prolific writer, author, or co-author, of twenty-five books, as well as numerous case studies on leading international organizations which have sold over seven million copies.

Dr. Quelch is currently a director of Amerant Bancorp and Global Crossing Airlines.  He has served as a non-executive director on twelve corporate, nonprofit, and public agency boards, including Aramark, easyJet, Pepsi Bottling Group, Reebok International, and WPP. He also served nine years pro bono as chairman of the Massachusetts Port Authority. He is a member of the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Dr. Quelch has lived in China, United Kingdom, the USA, Australia, and Canada. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire and was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
