Ariel Acosta-Rubio, Founder & CEO Churromania

Founded in 1997 by Ariel Acosta-Rubio and his wife, Laly Bravo, the Miami-based franchise has flourished by creating a minimalist menu and writing the modern churro story. Today, CHURROMANIA® has more than 120 locations in the United States, South America and Central America. A large number of those locations in the USA and Chile are located inside Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world.

Ariel frequently gives speeches about entrepreneurship, business, and startup ventures at accredited universities and high schools, including the 2014 University of Tampa commencement speech.

Ariel is actively involved in many economic and franchisee guilds, being the co-founder and the president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Franchises, as well as an active member of the International Executive Resource Group (IERG), and other organizations. Additionally, Ariel actively supports and participates in non-profit organizations such as serving on the Board of Trustees for Miami Music Project and Founding Viva la Música, contributing to the betterment of his community through philanthropic endeavors. Both non-profit organizations believe that music education can have a transformative impact on young lives, promoting social inclusion, academic achievement, and personal growth.
