Cross Border Compliance Risks and Opportunities
in Today’s Enforcement Environment

The Biden Administration and its international counterparts have demonstrated a clear desire to increase criminal and civil enforcement activity. As a result, multinational corporations and senior executives face increased regulatory exposure and risk in connection with investigations by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulators. Improved cooperation among international regulators has resulted in the real-time exchange of information and additional risk for those engaged in cross-border activity.

In this session, we will discuss compliance opportunities and risks in this environment, including how businesses can position themselves to mitigate enforcement risk and gain market share as result. Experienced counsel will discuss investigation, compliance, and enforcement risk in hot-button areas, such as:

•Anti-Corruption and Bribery, including The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
•Anti-Money Laundering and Economic Sanctions
•Accounting and Securities Fraud
•Data Privacy and its effect on cross-border investigations
•ESG compliance and investigative risk
