IERG  (http://www.iergonline.org/), a global professional business resource group for senior international business executives, convenes its first annual Global Growth and Trends Symposium in Midtown Manhattan on October 25, 2018. For the first time, approximately 150 IERG Members and guests will unite to network and hear first-class speakers on issues most pressing to the international business community. The conference will connect a wide range of industries and thought leaders, from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial ventures, and invite them to share their know-how of global markets and market mechanisms to ultimately identify new business opportunities. Below are our preliminary event and panel topics: 

The event’s theme Finding the Signal Among the Noise In A Chaotic and Rapidly Changing World” will reflect the current uncertainties in the global market place and over the course of an afternoon, panels will illuminate global political, economic, technological, and operational trends and their effects on international transactions and operations.

Our first panel “Finding Opportunities In Times of Disruption” intends to explore the current macro disruptors, both from a technological and political perspective, and its effects on the global balance of (trading) power.  The second panel, Global Trends and Innovations That Will  Transform Business will be more focused and encourages panelists to discuss innovations in technology and finance and their impact on international business transactions.

We already have secured commitments from acclaimed speakers from academia, multi-national corporations, sovereign funds and entrepreneurial innovators, who are deeply involved in global business activities on a daily basis and willing to share their first-hand insight. We are looking to address the tough questions, where this could lead and possible solutions.
